Our programme starts by developing your inner confidence and entrepreneurial mindset, then equips you with the practical skills to tackle real-world challenges and ends with a clear plan to put everything into action.

What you'll learn

Our modules focus on soft skills to help you determine what is holding you back, then move into substantive skills to give you practical support for developing your business idea.

  • Module 1: Developing confidence and overcoming your inner critic

    Learn simple tools to boost your confidence, quiet your inner critic, and believe in your abilities – especially if you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt or imposter feelings.

  • Module 2: Managing stress and healthy living

    Discover ways to manage stress, create healthy habits, and stay motivated. A strong mindset and good wellbeing are the foundations for long-term success.

  • Module 3: Shaping your mindset

    Understand the traits and thinking styles that define successful entrepreneurs. You’ll assess your own mindset and discover ways to strengthen it as you prepare to start your business.

  • Module 4: Overcoming barriers and dealing with stigma

    Practical strategies to tackle the unique challenges of later-life entrepreneurship, from age-related bias to financial hurdles—helping you stay confident, motivated, and resilient.

  • Module 5: Acquiring and retaining customers

    Learn how to find your ideal customers, communicate your offer with confidence, and build lasting relationships—while addressing concerns about selling to younger audiences.

  • Module 6: Time to take action

    Evaluate your idea, set SMART goals, and overcome procrastination. Then, create an Action Plan and turn fear of failure into fuel for progress.

  • Module 7: What happens next?

    Wrap up your journey with a message from Isabella, understand what’s required in a Business Plan, and explore support organisations to help turn your business goals into reality.

The support you'll get

In this level you’ll have access to two hours of an experienced Enterprise Guide. You decide at what point to engage with them, and how they can best help you.

Enterprise Guides

Our guides are entrepreneurs themselves, with years of hands-on experience helping both new and established businesses across a wide range of industries.

You’ll be matched with the right Enterprise Guide for you—someone who understands the journey you’re on and will offer friendly, practical support every step of the way.

At the end of the programme

You’ll end the programme with a new sense of confidence, a detailed Action Plan, and a Level 3 Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE).

You’ll be ready to contact a business support organisation with confidence, and on your own terms, to obtain further support with:

  • Writing a detailed business plan
  • Creating a robust budget and seeking funding
  • Developing a marketing plan
